During the Week 5 installment of Sunday Night Football, the spotlight shone on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys. Both squads entered the matchup eager to demonstrate their capabilities. Following an unexpected victory by the New York Giants over the Seahawks, the Cowboys needed to maintain their competitiveness within the NFC East. Conversely, the Steelers were looking to recover after experiencing their first loss of the season.

Fans Criticize Cris Collinsworth’s Commentary During Sunday Night Football

However, it was NBC’s analyst Cris Collinsworth who became a focal point of criticism during the broadcast. Viewers took to social media to voice their dissatisfaction with his commentary throughout the game.

“I can’t stand Cris Collinsworth, ugh,” a user commented on X, formerly Twitter.

“(Delayed) Weekly reminder that Cris Collinsworth f******g sucks,” another user chimed in.

“Well, that didn’t take long for Cris Collinsworth to start acting like an ass,” expressed yet another fan.

Cowboys Coach Critiques Steelers’ Justin Fields

In the past few seasons, the Steelers have established themselves as a team that, while seemingly unremarkable on paper, often surprises when they take the field. This season has been no different.

Justin Fields was not originally set to be the Steelers’ starting quarterback when training camp began. However, an injury to Russell Wilson elevated him to the starting role, a twist that has proven beneficial. The former Chicago Bear has been instrumental in placing them firmly at the top of the NFC North.

Fields’ resurgence has become one of the most intriguing stories of the NFL season so far. Nevertheless, not everyone is impressed with his revival. Earlier this season, Cowboys defensive coordinator and former Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer stated that Fields “hasn’t done anything,” in his career thus far. This comment followed remarks from the Vikings’ general manager.

Zimmer’s comments are particularly ironic, considering the challenges the Cowboys’ defense has faced this season as well. They have allowed opponents to score 28 or more points in three of their first four games.

It remains to be seen how Fields will fare in this highly awaited clash against Dallas.
