It’s well known that actor Matthew McConaughey is a proud Texan with a genuine passion for his Longhorns. How deep does that passion run? Enough for him to spend part of his Saturday ribbing fans of the Michigan Wolverines.

This became evident on both television and social media, with McConaughey spotted in Ann Arbor, enjoying the game as the Longhorns took a commanding 24-3 lead at halftime, largely due to quarterback Quinn Ewers’ exceptional play.

Prior to kickoff, McConaughey waved a Texas Longhorns flag on the field.

Naturally, at the 50-yard line, McConaughey was met by former Michigan standout and Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson, who proudly waved his flag in support of the Wolverines. The pair then enjoyed a humorous back-and-forth.

Before the game kicked off, McConaughey made an appearance on the FOX pregame show from a private jet. The Longhorns entered the matchup ranked No. 3 in the nation, while the Wolverines, the reigning national champions, were positioned at No. 10.

Once the game began, McConaughey sported a tan leather jacket, denim jeans, and a classic brown cowboy hat, a nod to his Texan roots. He also engaged in some friendly ribbing along the sidelines, presumably with former MLB star and Michigan fan Derek Jeter.
