Trevon Diggs, the Pro Bowl cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, appears to have mended his relationship with WFAA reporter Mike Leslie, even going as far as to extend an olive branch through a gift of “Deez Nuts” branded snacks.
For those who may not have caught the news, tensions rose between Diggs and Leslie after the Cowboys’ 30-24 loss to the 49ers last Sunday. After the game, Leslie criticized Diggs for his involvement in a play where George Kittle executed an impressive catch-and-run.

Diggs visibly showed his irritation with Leslie’s comments during their postgame exchange.
Cowboys DB Trevon Diggs confronted a reporter for a tweet he put out about Diggs play:
Diggs: “You don’t know football..You can’t do nothing that I do.”
Reporter: We could talk about it more.
Diggs: “TALK ABOUT DEEZ NUTS.”

Regarding the disputed play, Diggs wasn’t simply jogging; he was prepared for a possible cutback by Kittle.
There were 2 defenders closer to Kittle than Diggs, one who had his hands on him already. Obviously, you have an ax to grind if you’re not calling them out and only calling out Diggs who kept his angle incase the other two missed, which they did. https://t.co/e2Hv6LyZGG pic.twitter.com/VlwU4YAQA8

Leslie has since reflected on his assessment, admitting there might have been a misunderstanding. He noted, “What I interpreted as him jogging was in fact him slow-playing a potential cutback from George Kittle.”
On Wednesday, the two met once again and exchanged apologies, with the 26-year-old NFL player presenting Leslie with his playful gift, resulting in a friendly atmosphere.
This gift served as a lighthearted nod to Diggs’ earlier comments from that Sunday night, remarking, “You don’t know football, you can’t do nothing that I do… Talk about deez nuts!”
