Count on Ole Miss’ head coach Lane Kiffin to bring some levity to social media, as he often does. His latest opportunity arose after USC’s victory over LSU last weekend, which left Tigers coach Brian Kelly visibly frustrated during the post-game press conference.
“We’re sitting here once again addressing the same problems,” Kelly said after the loss, slamming his fist on the table and sending his water bottle flying. “I’m so frustrated about it that I have to take action. I’m not coaching well enough… It’s ridiculous. It’s unbelievable.”
Brian Kelly is extremely upset following LSU’s defeat to USC.

Kiffin, known for his sense of humor, took a light-hearted jab at the situation.
“On Tuesday, Kiffin shared a screenshot of Kelly pounding his fist with a bottle of Dasani water in the air,” reported Steve DelVecchio of Larry Brown Sports. “Kiffin quipped that Kelly just needed a Coke Zero and a smile.”

Kiffin also took a moment to poke fun at himself. He recently went on a tirade about the negative impacts of drinking Coke during one of his own press conferences — perhaps not the best strategy since Coke sponsors Ole Miss. He cleverly referenced his “fondness” for Coke at Kelly’s expense.
Regardless, as noted by Brandon Santomauro:
“Thanks to a thrilling end to the game, the Trojans trailed 17-13 as they entered the fourth quarter, but a three-play, 64-yard drive culminated in a score that shifted the game to 20-17 with five minutes remaining. The Tigers then responded with a field goal, tying it at 20-20.
“With the game on the line, USC’s junior quarterback Miller Moss skillfully guided the team down the field during a two-minute drill. A standout moment happened with just 15 seconds left when wide receiver Kyron Hudson made a stellar catch that placed his team in the red zone after a targeting penalty added 15 yards.
“With only eight seconds remaining, senior running back Woody Marks rushed into the end zone from the 13-yard line, clinching USC’s victory, marking LSU’s fifth consecutive season opener loss (and their third straight under Kelly).”
