Jordan Schultz has shared that the Bears and defensive lineman Daniel Hardy have finalized a two-year contract valued at up to $6 million, effective Sunday.
Hardy was set to become an unrestricted free agent soon.
At 27, Hardy is a former seventh-round selection by the Rams in 2022. He subsequently signed a four-year deal worth $3.8 million with Los Angeles.
Hardy was released by the Rams at the beginning of the 2023 season and joined the Bears’ practice squad shortly after.
Chicago chose to re-sign Hardy for the 2024 season on a futures contract, and he later accepted an exclusive rights agreement last year.
During the 2025 season, Hardy participated in every game for the Bears, recording 22 tackles without any sacks.
