The Cleveland Browns have announced the acquisition of OT Sebastian Gutierrez off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers, effective Friday.
At 27 years old, Gutierrez entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Broncos in 2022, coming from Minot State. He was waived by Denver as part of their final roster cuts during his rookie season and subsequently signed to the Raiders’ practice squad.
He had a fluctuating presence on the Raiders’ practice squad in 2022 but was released in the subsequent off-season. After short tenures with the Chiefs and Raiders again, he was signed by the 49ers in December 2023. However, he did not make the final cut for San Francisco the following preseason.
Throughout the season, Gutierrez also spent time on the practice squads of the 49ers, Colts, and Browns, ultimately concluding the year in San Francisco. The 49ers brought him back on a futures contract in January.
In the 2024 season, Gutierrez participated in one game for the 49ers.
