Over the past year, Tom Brady has made notable strides in rebuilding his relationship with his family after dedicating much of his life to the game of football. His children have greatly benefited from his increased availability, as he has taken them on trips and made family time a priority.
However, despite having retired from the sport, Brady will not be spending Thanksgiving with his family this year due to his new position at FOX.
The team at Fox caught Brady off guard by informing him he would be working on Thanksgiving, providing coverage for the Thursday Night matchup between the Cowboys and the Giants. His response was amusing upon discovering that his holiday would now include professional obligations.
Thanksgiving typically offers Tom a chance to indulge in his favorite foods, including free-range, antibiotic-free turkey and biscuits made by his grandmother. Following his separation from Gisele, he has concentrated on cherishing moments with his children and parents.
This Thanksgiving game featuring Dallas and New York is scheduled to kick off at 4:30 p.m. ET on November 28, airing on Fox. While Brady’s reaction to the announcement was quite entertaining, it likely wasn’t entirely surprising for him, considering his noticeable growth in acting skills.
Prior to this announcement, Brady gave his analysis on the Packers’ significant victory against the 49ers during Sunday Night Football.
Brady analyzes the Packers’ dominant win over the 49ers
It was a chilly and rainy day at Lambeau Field, where the Green Bay Packers took on the San Francisco 49ers, the previous Super Bowl runners-up. Entering the game with a record of 5-5, San Francisco aimed to bounce back after a recent defeat to the Seahawks.
However, they encountered a Packers team that was performing exceptionally well under Matt LaFleur.
While many expected the home team to emerge victorious, few anticipated such a lopsided defeat for the 49ers, who finished the game with a score of 38-10. What went wrong for San Francisco, and what did Green Bay execute well? Tom Brady offered some insights.
Brady was particularly impressed with the Packers’ signing of Josh Jacobs, who rushed for 106 yards on 26 carries and scored three touchdowns. He commended Jacobs for his physicality and tireless effort on each run to secure additional yardage.
In contrast, Brady noted that the problems for the 49ers began at the quarterback position. With Brock Purdy out, Brandon Allen was called upon to step in, and for someone who hadn’t been active for three years, grasping Shanahan’s offense was a formidable challenge.
Allen struggled to find his rhythm and showed a lack of awareness in the pocket, which led to a couple of fumbles. The tough weather conditions, coupled with minimal support from his teammates, made matters even worse.
Despite the 49ers allowing only 325 total yards of offense, they surrendered close to 170 rushing yards. Their own ground attack was ineffective, managing just 44 rushing yards. Their difficulties won’t ease as they prepare to face the Bills next week, now holding a 5-6 record.
On the other hand, the Packers improved to 8-3, edging closer to a playoff spot, and will face the Dolphins in their next matchup.
